Mr. Rashid Rehman Advocate, Chairman SPARC Board of Directors, is Advocate High Court, and actively involved with the civil society sector particularly the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
Mr. Qazi Azmat Isa is an economist currently working as Chief Executive with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) in Islamabad. He has previously worked with World Bank in Islamabad and Afghanistan, the UNDP/World Bank Water and Sanitation Programme and as the Chief Executive of Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP). He also serves as board member with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Aurat Foundation and LEAD.
Mr. Anees Jillani is a Supreme Court lawyer and a member of the Washington, DC Bar. He founded SPARC In 1992 and served as its National Coordinator till 2006.
Mr Jillani is a prolific writer and contributes regularly in various newspapers and magazines. Mr Anees Jillani is author to various books and research articles. The books include Cries Unheard: Juvenile Justice in Pakistan, "Child Rights in Pakistan" and Child Labor: The Legal Aspects.
Dr. Attiya Inayatullah has been on SPARC’s board since June 2003. She is a prominent civil rights activist and former Federal Minister of Population Welfare. She is currently a Member of the National Assembly as well as Standing Committee on Human Rights. She has served with UNESCO Board and Family Planning Association of Pakistan. She extended great support to civil society in presenting Charter of Child Rights Bill and Prohibition of Corporal Punishment Bill 2009 in the National Assembly.
Ms. Shaheen Atteequr Rehman is chairperson of Bunyad Literacy Council. She was awarded the Communes Medal in 1998 by UNESCO for her work in literacy and the Presidential Award by the Government of Pakistan. She served as Member of the Punjab Assembly during 1985-88; and as Minister for Social Welfare and Women’s Development during 1985-87.
Ms. Sarah Ahmad is a freelance consultant and has prior experience of working with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). She has vast experience in Human Resource Management.
Ms. Samina Omar Asghar Khan is Executive Director of Sungi Development Foundation. Currently she is also chairing the National Humanitarian Network (NHN).
Ms. Humera Malik is an expert in development-related activities and one of the country’s few experts in Participatory Research Approach. She is presently working as Manager with BHP Billiton’s Community Programme and has served voluntarily with Cavish.
Maryam Bibi is founder and Chief Executive of Khwendo Kor, which focuses on the development of women, children and families in the remote areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). She has worked with GTZ- the international development enterprise of the German government and has designed educational material for Afghan refugees.
Mr Gul Mastoi has vast monitoring experience of education, health, water, sanitation and income generating projects of number of civil society organizations. He has worked with LEAD and Strengthening Participatory Organisation (SPO). He is currently working with SMC, Community Mobilisation and Public-Private Partnership Expert at British Council, Karachi.
Mr. Arshad Mahmmod has been working in the field of child rights for more than ten years and has work experience with UNICEF and Save the Children. He successfully launched a number of advocacy and awareness raising campaigns for the promotion and protection of child rights, children’s right to education and the protection of vulnerable groups of children i.e. children languishing in prisons, children belonging to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), children engaged in the worst forms of child labour in Pakistan as well as the girl child.
Mr Mahmood has a long term association with SPARC and joined the organization Executive Director in 2010.
