Nutrition gap among rich and poor
By Usman Muzammil

Every parent wishes to provide his/her child with a balanced diet. However, the harsh reality is that owing to poverty, unemployment and other related problems many parents fail to perform this duty. This results in a malnourished child with stunted growth and other health problems. On the other hand, offspring of rich parents can enjoy all kinds of good food, ranging from local to fast food. This makes the poverty stricken child wonder at the discrimination in ‘entitlement’ of food. The aim is not to criticize parents here; rather it is to draw government’s attention to this injustice to a child’s life. It should draft policies equally beneficial and supportive to a poor man. This will provide him with opportunities to atleast to earn a decent living and provide his child with proper nourishment.
